2023 U.S. Insurance Awards

The Business Insurance U.S. Insurance Awards recognize excellence in the commercial insurance and risk management sector while also raising money to address the industry’s talent crisis.

Celebrating Today — U.S. Insurance Awards

Now in its sixth year, the awards program highlights exceptional work by insurance professionals working at companies across the commercial insurance industry – from retail brokers to TPAs, insurers and more. Recognizing that major achievements are seldom the work of individuals working in isolation, the awards honor teams of professionals working on specific projects. Anyone familiar with a team’s work can nominate them for an award.

Creating Tomorrow — BI Scholarship

Up to 400,000 insurance jobs will be unfilled in the near future as the current workforce ages. The U.S. Insurance Awards were created to address the industry’s talent crisis by funding the BI Scholarship. In partnership with the Spencer Education Foundation, this scholarship fund will open new opportunities to provide scholarships, grants, and programming at universities without risk management degree programs, including HBCUs.

Nominations

To keep the process simple, we’ve set up an online nomination system that requires a 500-word description of a team’s work. See the Nomination Form for more details on what to include and read our FAQ section for advice on how to submit a compelling entry.

All nominations will be reviewed by a panel of Business Insurance editors who will select finalists in each category. The finalists will be reviewed by a panel of insurance and risk management professionals and the winners will be announced LIVE on July 19, 2023, at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.

If you have any questions about the awards or the nomination process, please contact Gavin Souter, editor of Business Insurance, at gsouter@businessinsurance.com.
